Dental Exam
A comprehensive dental exam will be performed by Dr. Misleh and one of our experienced hygienists. A comprehensive dental exam starts with diagnostic digital X-rays. X-rays allow our team to detect the position of the decay on the tooth and root, tumors, cysts, and bone loss. We will also conduct an oral cancer screening, where we check your face, lips, tongue, tissues and gums for any signs of cancer or abnormalities.
Our team will evaluate your gums and bone around the teeth for any evidence of periodontal disease. Your teeth and any existing restorations will be assessed for any decay or breakdown.
Preventative dental cleanings are performed by our highly skilled registered hygienists. These preventative cleanings should be done biannually to prevent gum disease, tooth decay and other oral disorders. During this cleaning, calculus (tartar) and plaque are removed from the tooth and root surface and the teeth get polished to remove any stain.
